Ardell Stone

Ardell Stone began her dance and teaching career in her hometown of Norfolk, Virginia. She operated her own school for five years before coming to Roanoke. Ms. Stone is a member of the Better Business Bureau and the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce. She continues her dance education by attending numerous workshops and seminars.

Lynn Hampton

Lynn Stone Hampton holds a B.S. degree in Dance and a minor in Communications from James Madison University. Her students and choreography have won numerous regional and national awards at competitions and auditions. Lynn has studied under scholarship with Gus Giordano in Evanston, Illinois and Joe Tremaine Dance Center in Hollywood, California. She continues to travel to workshops and competitions to further her dance education. Lynn is a certified member of Dance Educators of America. She was the director of the Cave Spring High School Drill Team for 10 years and she was the director of the Hidden Valley High School Dance and Drill Team for 5 years.

 

Maggie Gold

 

Maggie Gold has been active in the performing arts community since the age of four.  She trained at Ardell Stone School of Dancing, with numerous teachers in the convention and competition circuit and received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Radford University - having studied classical and lyrical ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, and theatre dance.   She has performed in, choreographed, staged and directed productions with Radford University's Dance and Theatre departments, Greensboro Dance Theatre, Ardell Stone School of Dancing, Cave Spring High School's Drill and Dance Teams, Theatre Glenvar High, Kevin Jones' Peforming Arts School and Roanoke County's Center for the Performing Arts, where she served as dance director for seven years.

After working with Alexander Academy of Performing Arts and Maui Academy of Performing Arts while briefly living on Maui, Hawaii, she is happy to return to her roots and once again be teaching for Ardell Stone School of Dancing!

Tiffany Woolwine

Tiffany began her dance training in New Jersey.   After moving to Roanoke,  she studied ballet, lyrical, jazz, tap and pointe at Ardell Stone School of Dancing for 12 years.  She was a member of the Performing Company for 7 years and  attended numerous master classes, conventions and dance competitions.   Tiffany was a student assistant for 4 years.  She has also traveled to New York City to study at Broadway Dance Center.     Currently, Tiffany is a junior at Virginia Tech majoring in Business Management.  She is also on the Virginia Tech High Tech's Dance Team that performs at football and basketball games, as well as the National Dance Championship in Daytona, Florida.  

 

 

Student Assistants

Advanced level dancers are selected at the beginning of each year to serve as assistants for all classes.
